Once upon a time in a shelter not far away...

lived an adorable little pup who wanted to go out and play...

Unfortunately, Pete's story is not too different from that of many other mixed breeds.  He was dumped at the New York City ASPCA with little knowledge of his background.  Some at the shelter said there were rumors that he may have originally come from Tennessee, while the note on his bio said that he was with a person for about a week but they brought him back because of allergies.  Poor little boy.  He was so kind, took treats so nicely, and already knew how to sit!  How did this 4 month old end up without a home?

When Steve and I walked into the shelter that day, we had no idea that we would be walking out with this handsome pup.  We simply wanted to volunteer to walk some dogs and get our 'pup fix.'  Low and behold, my boyfriend was sick of being tortured with the hundreds of pictures I showed him of beautiful pups that needed homes and he convinced me the time was right to adopt.

Adopting Petey was the best thing we have ever done.  We developed Sweet Pete's Treats to help restore mixed breed's image and show what wonderful, loyal dogs they can be.  They have the same desires as any other dogs - simply, to be loved.
